fun that they will be singing in making your mind up! do anyone know which starting number the song will have?--
Matrix17 08:45, 2 March 2007 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Watching the recording (yup, I'm that sad), there's no visible evidence that Cyndi celebrated in Making your mind up. She was next to Ferne Cotton and would have heard both names at a similar volume. Scooch were next to Wogan and accepted defeat. 82.69.90.226 17:42, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Was rather amusing watching the confusion unfold, I only heard Terry Wogan announce Cyndi as the winner, but she didn't celebrate at all so must have heard Fearn Cotton. Scooch did appear gracious none the less applauding her and look shocked when the actual result was given for real.
This entry reads like a biog off the official site. I've no doubt it's been written by people very sympathetic to Scooch's very patchy career. The hyperbole and positive spin on everything does not match the standards of objectivity I would expect. --—Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.144.60.227 ( talk • contribs)
If their is anyone who knows mutch more then i have already written about the charlotte church comment and scooch respond please insert it in the article. Their has been quite many articles about it.-- Matrix17 14:38, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Mm you are probably right-- Matrix17 15:30, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
The article stated that the band's album "Four Sure" will re-enter the albums chart in April. This is clearly a prediction. I presume what it intended to say is "will be re-released" or some such like so I have changed it to that effect. If that is not what it meant then please could someone re-write it. Tom Phil 23:01, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
The single pages should really be created seeing as the band now has enough credible status. Also, the track listings need to be removed from the main article, because they aren't necessary unless they're on a page on their own. I might do it when I get time later on, but anybody's welcome to! - ǀ Mikay ǀ 09:26, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
I made an amendment on 2-nov-2007, stating that Scooch's final position in the Eurovision final was 23rd out of 24 entries, (a fact confirmed on the finishing table of every eurovision website including Wikipedia's article on the competition), this has been reverted to a position of 22 out of 42 entries which is incorrect, as it implies: a) that there were 42 entries in the 2007 Eurovision final which is not so. and b) they finished one place higher than they actually did, as in the event of a points tie when a winner isn't to be decided, as in this case between France & The United Kingdom, the placing order is then decided alphabetically which put France's entry in the much coveted 22nd position. I have re-added my amendment and added this explanation to justify them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.1.240.149 ( talk) 11:14, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
As the final only contained 24 nations, (comprised of: the 'Big Four', the other pre-qualified nations and the succesfull Semi-finalists), it was impossible for Scooch to come any lower than 24th place, so Zingostar is also incorrect. Sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.120.185 ( talk) 17:22, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Zingostar, If we use your reasoning about the points accumilated by nations over the semi-final & The final. The point that Will and myself are making is that if a nation is knocked out of the Football World Cup in the second round but scored more goals in the entire tournament than the eventual winners, that doesn't make them winners of the world cup. The Eurovision semi-final is held to determine which nations will go through to the all important final. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.120.185 ( talk) 16:44, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Zingostar, No we can't sum it up as such because it is INCORRECT. as SCOOCH were in the final and there was only 24 entry's in the final, they could not come any lower than 24th as the votes and positioning from the semi-final is not and has never been carried over in the final, because if use your reasoning, the countries that take part in both the final & the semi final can claim to have finished 1st as they have a higher points score than the winner if you combine both scores they received. I suggest you visit the numerous eurovision websites that are available and confirm this for yourself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.202.240.152 ( talk) 19:02, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
This entry originally stated that www.scoochworld.com was their official website.
When i looked this was not the case and instead was a placeholder which instead advertised a hosting company.
I have changed this to their official website at www.scooch.co.uk
On this BBC news story the bbc link for the official scooch site goes to www.scooch.co.uk
