As a layperson the following was unclear to me after reading the article: is a branched hydrocarbon (for example) that contains only single bonds saturated or unsaturated? I have this doubt as I have no idea whether a C-C bond is stronger or weaker than a C-H bond (nor do I know, for that matter, whether branching affects bond strength) and if it is weaker then I would expect that a branched hydrocarbon may be susceptible to some reactions that an unbranched hydrocarbon is not, even if they both have only single bonds.
