Sarissoforoi were not light cavalry(!!!) but they were heavy infatry! They were first used by Philip of Macedon and later by Hellenistic armies. This article is entirely wrong.Sarissophoroi were a form of light cavalry. The unit this article refers to are the Pezhetairoi ro foot companions. This needs to be edited immediately.
There are articles about sarissophoros (i.e. the singular of sarissophoroi) in other languages. I think they shall be linked with /info/en/?search=Sarissophoroi Xakepxakep ( talk) 19:16, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
