Though Vuçitërn is the Albanian form of Vučitrn, and "sanxhaku i Vuçitërnit" for Sanjak of Vučitrn, today's Albanian form for Vučitrn is Vushtria. This note provided to help avoid confusion. According to lede, the Turkish name of the sanjak was Vilayet'i Vlk . Ottoman Turkish used Arabic alphabet. Thus Vilayet'i Vlk must be the romanization of the name. But in Turkish (modern or Ottoman) it is impossible to pronounce a three consonant-word. Does the reference give a hint how the name is pronounced ?
