I would like to see verification of the descent of the father Richard Ward from Roger Williams. I do know of the descent of the mother Mary Tillinghast Ward from Roger Williams (as well as from my direct ancestor Rev. Pardon Tillinghast, 1623-1718).

Dispute unsourced Founding Fathers label
No prominent sources can be found on the internet explicitly referring to Samuel Ward as a Founding Father of the United States. Yes, he was an important figure in colonial affairs, but he died before the nation's actual founding. Unless multiple sources can be provided to support this, the title will be removed.
