I removed this because it didn't fit in the flow of the article, and maybe gives undue weight to this particular position which wasn't necessarily central for Kinsey. Obviously, it would be ideal to expand a whole section on Kinsey's ideas. Feel free to add this fragment back in the future as you see fit.

What might be the noun for the genre of The Vindicator, appropriate to this era? Periodical is fine, but is repetitive without using synonyms. Magazine? Broadsheet? Monthly?

This article should mention other periodicals. It's not fair to mention unauthorized periodicals as a cause of the 1880s split while only mentioning The Vindicator.
