What happened is that someone started an article on Lobsang Tenzin, and then someone else started this as a very brief article on the Samdhong tülku lineage in general. Then, some anonymous editor saw this article and didn't understand why it didn't describe the life of Lobsang Tenzin, so he stole a bunch of copyrighted material from some other website and
added it it to this article, where it has remained in edited form.—

I have removed the material which may originate from one of these sites
[1][2] (both appear to be official sites associated with the Tibetian government in exile). I also a similar thing
[3] in June 2008 suggesting it's unlikely to be the reverse. In future, if you notice copyvio material, please either remove it, tag it, or at least note it somewhere that gets more traffic so that someone else can deal with it rather then just letting it be. Incidentally I agree that excessive duplication is unwarranted. There would likely be some merit to a seperate article but this one should perhaps just list the holders and history of the title, and stuff such as any disputes. However I'll let others more familiar with the content deal with that, the copyright violation is a much more serious problem which must be dealt with promptly in all instances particularly since in this instance there's a risk someone may incorporate it into the article on the current holder without realising it'a copyright violation. It doesn't seem many people have wasted time on the copyvio however it's also another reason to remove copyvios promptly. Note that even if the copyvio has had significant re-working, this is often not sufficient to deal with the problem and in most cases it should still be removed.

Rather than delete, wouldn't it be better to cut this article back to a stub and keep it to simply describe what the title Samdhong Rinpoche means, wikilinking to title holders / see also? Esowteric+
