While I totally disagree with your overall objection to singular they pronouns, I do understand the value of internal consistency within an article and do agree with the commentary you made in one of your edits regarding internal pronoun consistency within an article. I found an additional source about the subject's gender identity and added it, and within that source, she specifies that she/her pronouns are fine. Therefore, I added that source into the article, and changed "their" to "her". --
