Depends on whether it is really a water course. A lot of natural watercourses in developed cities have been tuned into "drains". A good example is the Tank Stream, also in Sydney. It is very significant, being the colony's first water supply, but is essentially a drain today. Maybe Saleyards Creek is just a drain, or maybe the opening line is inaccurate and it has a history that should be in Wikipedia. For example, why is it called "Saleyards"? Canalisation of the stream has affected salinity and pollution levels in nearby tidal wetlands.[4] I can't see where exactly the report refers to Salesyards Creek and its specific relation to these issues. LibStar ( talk) 05:20, 16 March 2010 (UTC) reply
