Stalin's projects talk about causeway rather than bridge. Tunnel project (Building 506) used not usual prisoners, but qualified amnistied workers, MetroStroy specialists and army engineers. After Stalin's death they wait 8 months before cancellation of building. Total cost of tunnel must be about 3 mlrd roubles. [1] Ходок ( talk) 14:07, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
I propose we look to rename this page as it is historically about both bridges and a tunnel linking Sakhalin to mainland Russia. In July 2018, Russia’s president Vladimir Putin again proposed a bridge. [1]

We should discuss a page name change and I propose to change the name in 4 weeks times if there are no thought through objections. -- Eco-climber ( talk) 08:52, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
I think there's too much information about the Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel in the Current operations and future prospects section. It's becoming a section about the Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel, which has its own article, rather than taling about the mainland–to–Sakhalin Tunnel. -- Pemilligan ( talk) 19:13, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
