Why is St Malachy somethimes given by some the surname O'Morgain. For the O'Murgain surname is given in set of Armagh genealogies. It is the same pedigree as the O'Muireagain (O'Morgan) who seem to have been a powerful church family in north Armagh...? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.81.177.197 ( talk) 01:54, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm just wondering exactly how the new Pope would fit with the prophecy.
I read somewhere that the Benedictine order claimed that the Pope would be theirs. Does anyone know what portion of the prophecy backs their claim up?
I've read that St. Malachi said the this is the last pope (Benedict XVI - Gloria Olivae). It was the Benedictines that added the additional pope because St Benedict said that at the end of the world their order would be in the papacy.
Perhaps the connection to "The Glory of the Olive" is the fact that he choose the name Benedict.
Follow this; St. Benedict > the Benedictine Order, also known as the Olivetans > Pope Benedict XVI chooses the name of the man who founded the Olivetans > "The Glory of the Olive" thus glorifying St. Benedict the original Olivetan.
We shall see over time.
