'high density ballast' may be a boating term, but the whole section is about weight - not density
This article seems to be primarily about sailing, but there ought to be some general description of ballast (either fixed weights or water ballast) used to stabilize any marine vessel. — JonRoma ( talk) 03:38, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm suggesting adding the following information to the Environmental issues portion of the article.
I added similar paragraphs to the Environmental impact of shipping article and to the Regulation of ship pollution in the United States article.
