Merger with Convair X-11

I have discovered that X-11 was an alternative designation for the Atlas-A (see this). I am therefore proposing that the Convair X-11 article be merged into this one. --GW_Simulations User Page | Talk 21:42, 23 July 2008 (UTC) reply

I would put it in both since the X-11 also clearly belongs in the "X-plane" category as it was so designated by the Air Force. Or at least have a pointer to the alternative site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.226.199.119 ( talk) 17:57, 3 March 2010 (UTC) reply

X-11

The article is mistaken in equating X-11 with Atlas A. They are two completely different projects at Convair. X-11 and X-12 were very early test proposals for missiles, in 1953, when the Atlas was still a much larger five-engine design. This needs to be fixed, and separate articles should exist giving a correct history of the X-11 and X-12 rockets. DonPMitchell ( talk) 22:15, 30 May 2014 (UTC) reply
