Okay, here's a fun one. NEO Roller Derby and Rubber City Rollergirls have merged and adopted the name Akron Roller Derby. NEO had the more involved WFTDA history (as a 6-year WFTDA member who made Playoffs once, while Rubber City was in and out of the Apprentice program), and it appears as though the new organization has taken NEO's place in the WFTDA; they are already considered members and their page on the WFTDA website [1] lists a NEO 2012 detail, plus their ranking with today's WFTDA rankings release has them in the mid 100s, which is in keeping with NEO's history. So, based on all this, I propose the following:
I've honestly been holding off on things since thus far all I have been able to find is their facebook announcement which leads to a bare-bones website [2] that states the merger happened. I'd like something more substantial if possible, but we'll see if anything appears in the news in the near future. I will cross-post this to NEO's article for feedback.
