Is the photograph applicable the viaduct is on the A75 not RN9 Vivbaker 17:45, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
I wrote the article, it is not a translation of anything, if you regard the RN9 as now being the A75 you might as well remove the N10,N6,N7,N20 etc as large portions have been upgraded or replaced by Autoroutes. The A75 is a different road with a different article on Wikipedia treat it as such. As with the improvements to the road network the interesting thing is the old course not that of a changed route. I regard your efforts as Vandalism and if you persist will report it as such. Vivbaker 14:12, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
This seems a fruitless arguement, I attach a map showing the RN9 does still exist at Millau. May I suggest that you efforts be better spent creating articles on the autoroutes. I commend you on your A13 Autoroute article one on the A75 or A9 would be a benefit to the encyclopedia. An Article on the Route nationale's which have lost their status should concentrate on their historical routes etc if someone wants directions they would use an atlas. Captain, the RN are disapearing all over France. The RN9 now effectively only runs from Moulins to Clermont Ferrand, with two further short stretchs at Moulin and north of Beziers to allow travellers to avoid tolls. Despite your position, the A75 is a replacement for the RN9 and not a new RN9, if it was so you should request this article article is merged with the A75 one. I think my text explained to readers the pre-eminance of the A75 and the disapperance of the RN9. The virtue of describing the roads original course should be obvious in an encyclopedia.
The reason I chose a prose style rather than table list of towns/junctions on the RN, many of which I have driven, was to give the reader the feel of the route, places of interest and information not available from a map. Vivbaker 20:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
