Incorrect death claims

Reports of the death of Roman Borisovich Berdnikov appear to originate from Ukrainian social media users' speculation on who the general named in Russian social media rumors described only by his first name 'Roman' was, and assuming that the killed general was Berdnikov since he had a Russian Wikipedia article at the time while Roman Kutuzov did not, for example [1]. Since numerous Russian official sources have officially acknowledged the death of Roman Kutuzov by now, and evidence of Russian media that Berdnikov was still in Syria as of 9 May, less than a month ago, it can be safely assumed that Berdnikov is still alive.
