In the Table, please change model Roku 2 XD (3050)'s microSD Slot from No to Yes. Here is a source: http://www.engadget.com/products/roku/2/xd/specs (under the header 'Storage') 96.2.206.100 ( talk) 15:54, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
In the feature comparison table, under third generation, model Roku 2 (2720), the remote is listed as being Wi-Fi Direct and IR. I own one of these models (2720X) and if it has IR capabilities I sure can't find from where. There is no lens or led on the remote at all, other than the pairing led on the lower face of the remote, and the remote functions just fine from inside a lightproof enclosure. Furthermore, no sign of IR emissions can be seen on the device when viewed through IR capable digital camera and pushing all the buttons one at a time. I therefore believe the entry to be incorrect and ask that it be corrected. If need be, I can and will disassemble the remote to make sure.

The description of this model states that it does not have an SD slot. Though personal research is not a sufficient source, I own one and can testify that is has a working SD slot right above the HDMI output. The current source is simply tagged as "Roku Support" and links to the generic Roku support page, which has no info on this as far as I can tell. COI: I work at Roku, and would like to see these changes made on the page. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Thanks in advance!
Please make the following update to the intro section, as we do much more than simply make streaming players now:
- Roku distributes their operating system (Roku OS) through their streaming players and licensing arrangements with global TV OEMs and pay TV operators. [1]
On the "Fifth generation" chart - Premiere and Premiere+ are both misspelled in the chart - Premiere+ does not have a USB port
Can someone add a section specifically for Roku TV?
- Roku licenses a reference design and operating system to TV manufacturers to create co-branded Roku TV models. In the first half of 2016 Roku captured 12% of the US smart TV market share, up from 8% at the end of 2015. [2]
- Current Roku TV models include TVs manufactured by Sharp, Hitachi, TCL, Insignia, Hisense, and Haier. [3] Roku will launch 100 Roku TV models [4] in North America in 2016.

The box expands beyond the border of the page. It's becoming a bit indiscriminate. No current models lack Netflix profiles. Not a very important feature to mention in the tables. We could combine video resolution under one column and list the applicable video resolutions instead of the both/neither format. Similar could be done with the video and audio outputs. We should discuss any such options that will increase the readability of this box. -Serialjoepsycho- ( talk) 22:34, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

Reading through this article, I am left at a loss for what this thing does. It doesn't say. It gives a few quick over-the-top words of description, but doesn't really explain what this device is or does. The Roku Streaming Player, or simply Roku (

over-the-top content in the form of channels.
The Roku box runs a heavily modified version of Linux called Roku OS. The first-generation Roku players first came with Roku OS 1.0. After that, Roku has continued to update the software with bug fixes, security updates, feature additions, and many new interface revisions.

I'm wondering how many of these partnerships Roku announces in an average year. If this is a once every-so-often, game-changer type announcement, then I'd say it's notable. If it's something that is a fairly regular occurrence, them I'm afraid WP:NOTNEWS applies. Regards, Spintendo ᔦᔭ 00:17, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

I suggest changing the name of this page from "Roku" to "List of Roku Products and Services". This will mirror the setup for Fitbit Products. /info/en/?search=List_of_Fitbit_products
When people refer to "Roku" on the internet, they are referring to the business and not the individual products or platform (as this wikipedia article states). This is akin to calling all Apple Products "Apple" which no one would do.
For Reference: Roku refers to itself as "Roku"and each product line has its own distinctive name: [1]
I work for Roku and am making this suggestion because of brand and product confusion across pages. When people are searching for "Roku" they're looking for the corporate entity, when people are searching for "Roku Streaming player", Roku TV, or Roku OS, they're looking for information about the products and platform.

New/updated models are going to be released soon. Not sure if this constitutes a new generation or not, but the comparison table will need to be updated. Please stop editing the 2016 Premiere (4620) and Premiere+ (4630) models to fit the specs of the 2018 Premiere (3920) and Premiere+ (3921) models. They are completely different devices, Roku simply reused the names for these two newly released models. Someone keeps removing the 10/100 wired Ethernet jack from the Premiere+ (4630) feature table, which is incorrect. Just because the current Premiere+ (3921) does not have the jack does not mean you go back and remove that from the 2016 model in the chart. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.102.178.69 ( talk) 21:56, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
The Roku TV's are all licensed devices and not products of Roku. There are to many versions to place in a pretty little box and to do so would violate the rules about what Wikipedia is. I'm considering removing the table there and linking it to the licensing section of the Roku inc article. -Serialjoepsycho- ( talk) 21:33, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
The Roku comparison chart is out-of-date and/or just flat out wrong. The lineup for 2019 does not include the premiere+, for example. It also lacks citations for almost everything and when it does have a citation it is wrong. See the only citation for the storage size for the premiere+. The citation is for the 2016 version but used to cite the newer versions, as well. He also never mentions the storage size in the video. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.147.140 ( talk) 17:37, 14 November 2019 (UTC)

The Roku Streaming Player, or simply Roku (

ROH-koo), is a series of streaming players manufactured by
Roku, Inc.
'First generation'
and just consolidate to section to talk about Roku TV as a whole. The reason why I'm proposing this is because the Roku TV's are updates so often that it would be very difficult to constantly keep it up to date.References

Just following up on the above COI edit requests since they were technically 'answered' but weren't incorporated or given much feedback on. Much, much appreciated as always! JacobPace ( talk) 16:50, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
![]() | Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. 1. Lead statement changed. 2. First Generation removed from Roku TV. 3. There has not been consensus reached on whether partnerships should be listed on this page, so I defer on this question to the status quo. |

Generally minor updates, but a new "Premiere" model is being added to the lineup between Express and the Streaming Stick as a low-cost 4k-supporting option. After looking over this article, I still wonder what the heck is Roku??? Is this a device which displays the internet(from your router) on your TV (monitor)?( PeacePeace ( talk) 20:40, 14 October 2018 (UTC))
There is way too much overlap here to justify having the two pages be separate.-- Deathawk ( talk) 19:33, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Does it make sense to add a section for upcoming airplay2 support for roku TVs with 4K resolution? Cyberbytli ( talk) 04:17, 9 October 2020 (UTC)

This unit can process HDR10. It was enabled via software update later. It also has a dolby digital decoder which is unique. 68.36.194.157 ( talk) 00:22, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
