![]() | Text and/or other creative content from this version of Robin Walbridge was copied or moved into Bounty (1960 ship) with this edit on 31 October 2012. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. |
The article said that Robin Walbridge went down with the ship, although there is nothing in the reference cited that supports that. It also said that Bounty broke up, and there is nothing in the reference cited that supports that either. According to the Bounty website (which I cannot cite at present, as it is not available, tallshipbounty.org), Walbridge was washed overboard. According to the Coast Guard video, Bounty sank intact, rather than breaking up. This is still a "current event," and there is nothing to be gained by putting unsupported speculation and rumor in this article. Out of respect for Walbridge, his family, and friends of Bounty, let's keep this article to verifiable facts. I have deleted the speculative statements. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.68.134.1 ( talk) 2012-10-30
Per WP:BLP1E, there's no reason for him to have his own article. It should either redirect to the ship or to Hurricane Sandy. Inks.LWC ( talk) 20:00, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
I propose that Robin Walbridge be merged into Bounty (1960 ship). Mr. Walbridge does not warrant his own article under WP:BLP1E, and merging and redirecting this article to the Bounty article is probably the best way to go. Inks.LWC ( talk) 22:10, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
