I don't think this is a particularly relevant section to include - it was a single isolated incident with no long-term consqeuences. Would anyone object if I removed it? Qwghlm 21:27, Jan 20, 2005 (UTC)
Both Kilroy and Silk are Irish surnames; does anyone know anything about Kilroy-Silk's paternal (and maternal) ancestry?
Although there is an Irish version of the Silk surname, the English version comes from a different source and is not related. The Silk part of Kilroy's name is the English version - however, on the maternal side, his grandmother's maiden name was Gibbons and the family originated in Ireland. Athough Kilroy is an Irish name, it was the surname of his stepfather so has no bearing.

Can we work in his defeat in Erewash last night somewhere? Estrellador*
I don't see anything on the page about Mr Kilroy-Silk's amazing orangeness. I don't know where it would best go, but I think it deserves a mention.
Very little here about his morning chat show... the format of it, the types of things discussed etc. I would suggest that this aspect of his life is just as relevant as his political career. 16:14, 27 October 2006
Nothing about 'Shafted'? That clip was for me the highlight of HIGNFY for a long time... "Their fate is in each other's hands, as they decide whether to share, or to shaft." I was hoping to find out what the hell that was actually about. -- Last Malthusian 12:37, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
Anyone know about his career as a Labour MP? Shadow Home Sec is quite a senior position (what Tony Blair was immediately before Leader of the Opposition).
He must have undergone a very sudden change in views, because there is no way he could be a Labour MP now (even though the party is well to the right of what it was in the early 80s) BillMasen 11:22, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
The London Evening Standard ran a story today about Kilroy-Silk's (alleged?) illegitimate son, Danny Beauchamp. He's a 21 year old model. However, the article is a bit ambiguous - I'm not sure that Kilroy acknowledges his existance or not. Could be a publicity stunt. Does anyone know if it's true, and if so, is it appropriate to include in the article? -- Indisciplined 21:51, 27 July 2006 (UTC) http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/showbiz/articles/23274892?source=Evening%20Standard
The allegation by Mr Kilroy-Silk about M&S mirrors occurs twice on this page, in a separate section here and under publicity stunts here. Where should it be? Robinson weijman 11:55, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Is there any evidence to support Kilroy-Silk's inclusion in this category? Gustav von Humpelschmumpel 16:44, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
In response to a message at the BLP noticeboard, I'm going through the article and removing anything that is unsourced and could reflect negatively upon the subject. I'll do as much other minor clean-up as I can at the same time. Itsmejudith ( talk) 09:56, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
The Observer have noted a number of factual errors in this articles and/or its history. [3] Computerjoe 's talk 19:24, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
In some parts of the main article he's referred to by his surname as "Kilroy-Silk", in others just as "Kilroy". Obviously he's well-known in the UK as plain "Kilroy" because of the TV show and the papers, but it makes the article look a little messy. Is it worth going through changing all the Kilroys to Kilroy-Silks? -- Lost tourist ( Talk) 00:50, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Deleted unsourced trivial comments about supposed controversies; this is silly stuff. Took out lengthy passage of controversial article about Arabs; interested readers can look it up. Years later, what was significant were the reactions to it, and Bodi's analysis of changing political organization. Just because politicians and public figures make outrageous comments to gain attention that get reported, does not mean they have to be repeated in an encyclopedia article. Let's use some judgment. Deleted comments about Mark & Spencer mirrors - trivial. Parkwells ( talk) 14:40, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
This Wikipedia article has the statement, 'The article [We owe Arabs nothing] had first been published in April 2003 by the same paper [Sunday Express]' but, going by the titles of the RKS articles in the Sunday Express, no such article appears in any Sunday Express in April 2003 (I haven't read the content of the articles):
Sunday 06 April 2003, page 23: US loathsome? shame on them
Sunday 13 April 2003, page 25: Snub the Axis of weasels
Sunday 20 April 2003, page 23: Give war widows their proper due
Sunday 27 April 2003, page 23: It's time to reveal the smoking gun
I'm not sure what should be done with this fact. Certainly not include the above list in the main text, but perhaps add the statement 'but no such article was published in the Sunday Express in April 2004' and add the above list as references.
Update 1
From this link: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1451394/Kilroy-Silk-I-wont-be-gagged-about-the-evils-of-Arab-states.html RKS was referring to the 06 April 2003 article in the Sunday Express (now shown in bold in the above list). But this article is significantly different to the later article of 04 January 2004. It would be useful to get the text of both articles to establish the facts first hand.
Update 2
The text of the 04 January 2004 article is included in this link: http://www.tomgrossmedia.com/mideastdispatches/archives/000138.html
