There are a couple of points before I can pass this for GA.
That's all it needs. One more suggestion, not necessary for GA: an image would be great, if you can find one. If not, a map showing the locations named in the article (Southchurch, Stratford, Prittlewell, Canterbury, London, etc.) might be worth adding.

For future reference, I only made one small change as I was reviewing: it is not recommended to use the {{ cquote}} template for quotations in articles (it is intended for callouts); the preference is for blockquote markup instead (policy here).
