David Perry on Game Design: A Brainstorming Toolbox by Carl Granberg has some good references to why people replay games (completion, achievements etc.), but I am unable to view page 694 on Google Books. Does someone have the book? It would probably be an excellent source for the reason why people play games. http://books.google.nl/books?id=3b0LAAAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q&f=false (p 694/695) Maplestrip ( talk) 10:51, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Music and videos/films can have or lack replay value as well! -- 143.159.50.67 ( talk) 17:35, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
Although this is only my opinion, i think you are missing replay value coming grom the mechanics of the game itself. E.g.: chess has basically infinite replayability but it does not come from any of the influencing factor that you mentioned in this page. E.g.2: Sports videogames (thinking about rocket league) also have replayability coming from the game mechanic itself rather than other factors.
