Abraham, B.S.: I have commented out the suggestions that Leakey participated in Operation Slapstick (he was not in the Airborne Division; his unit arrived in Italy after Taranto was taken) and served in Korean War (his unit arrived in Korea in December 1953). Do we have sources to suggest otherwise?
I've also tried to reconcile the details of his post-war service from the Independent obituary, Who Was Who and the archive of his papers. Corrections welcome, of course.
Must read his autobiography! -- Ferma ( talk) 19:16, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I recommend his autobiography: might be available from your local library. It is edited by George Forty, who has inserted a section at the beginning of each chapter explaining the background within which Leaky was operating. Exbrum ( talk) 15:46, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
