At one point there was a religious school, Immaculate Conception School, but it closed down as the student population dwindled over the years, much to the appreciation of many of it's alumni. So the alumni appreciated the dwindling of the student population, and the school's subsequent closing? I don't get it. -- SwissCelt 19:49, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
Looks like this "notable person" is legitimate... or at least as legitimately notable as any person to make the first cut on American Idol. While I'm not sure every AI contestant deserves his/her own article, it is verifiable (see http://www.chroniclet.com/Archive/Html/2004/August/8-15/Daily%20Pages/Front/Html/Head5.html) that this person actually appeared on the program. -- SwissCelt 04:13, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
A few years ago, there was 8-month pregant woman who lived in Ravenna and was killed by her neighbor, who cut out and stole the baby. This was around 2000, I think? I went to Kent State and there were "missing woman" signs everywhere. I believe it made national news (shades of Laci Peterson so it was a big story), and I'd add it, except I can't remember the woman's name. Anyone?
I've added this article to WP:CITY and WP:OHIO. Please do not assess this article without leaving comments at Talk:Ravenna, Ohio/Comments. I will boldly undo any assessment, good or bad, that does not include comments on how to improve this article. Thank you. -- SwissCelt 15:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
I agree with User:Nyttend: The information about former mayor Paul Jones is well-sourced, and is notable (at least through the myopic lens of recent history) to the subject of the article (i.e. Ravenna). It therefore should remain in the article. Working here in Ravenna, though, I do know that source material can be found in Mr. Jones' defense. The best approach for those who wish to defend Mr. Jones, therefore, is to include that source material in the article. If I have time and inclination (and frankly, right now I have neither) I may do so myself. -- SwissCelt 20:18, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Maplewood Career Center is a vocational School in Ravenna; do vocational schools have a place in the "school" listing?
Their website is [2], and, on a personal note, I am a student there.
Something like 6-10 schools have students that go to Maplewood instead of their (the student's) homeschool, so you graduate with a diploma from the homeschool + if you get certified, you get certification in the field you were in / if not, you get experience + you leave all the people you hated at your homeschool!
