It may be due to problems in the sourcing. Looking at them, I see only one or two that provide any significant coverage at all. The rest are brief blurbs, trivial mentions, interview, citations to Wikipedia (which immediately suggests non-notability), redundant citations, or citations that don't have any coverage of the subject at all. I consolidated duplicate references and removed the citations to Wikipedia. What remains still needs improvement, particularly the orphan citations at the bottom. I question the notability of some of the rewards too; I think those can be trimmed, particularly the ones cited to blogs. ~

I agree definitely there is a sourcing issue (specifically for a BLP) but also there is an issue with too much information about this artists exhibition and award history and no information about their bio.
