Do they really have Officer candidates in the Danish Home Guard? With the introduction of the specialist ranks, are the Konstabel rank still retained? Pre 1962: How can the Company commander be OF-3?

No, you are right, they don't. I have removed them.
As far as I have read and understood, yes. The specialist ranks are only for people who have a special role, saving on leadership courses that would otherwise be related to that role ands not meant to replace the Konstabel ranks. Per (Hjemmeværnskommandoen, 17 August 2018)
Company commander is taken from (Asmussen 1999, p. 301), and was the former name before adopting army names. Additionally, Danish ranks are based on German ranks, and under Germany on
Company commander it is stated that company commander is referred to as a Kompaniechef or Einheitsführer and is usually a major. So that would also be my guess as to why it is OF-3 rather than the normal OF-2.
