Hello, I made this page as I discovered that there was no page on Fred Hampton's Rainbow Coalition. I am not an expert in the subject, so, if more knowledgable people could add to it it would be a great help.

Reference on Carl Hampton

This page http://www.itsabouttimebpp.com/Chapter_History/Police_Assassination_of_Carl_Hampton.html says Carl Hampton founded the Rainbow Coalition in one of its footnotes.-- Treethinker ( talk) 02:10, 4 February 2012 (UTC) reply

Membership

To the best of my knowledge the Rainbow Coalition was made up for a handful of radical organizations based in Chicago. For some reason an ever growing list of various New Left groups has been added to this page without any references. None of these groups appear in the references listed at the bottom of the article. -- Chris902 ( talk) 03:41, 8 February 2010 (UTC) reply

Haas paragraph

When reading this page, the Haas paragraph stands out like a sore thumb. It is very much unnecessary to the article and is politically biased against structured organization in favor of horizontal and more anarchist forms. It needs to be removed.

Editing this article

Deleted historical section because information is irrelevant, also deleted formation section and replaced with relevant information, lots of grammatical error fixes and typos, added more references and citations to back up the information we added, more hyperlinks were added, we expanded on the legacy section again to make information correct and more in-depth, rewrote lead section.
