Gauge

The article says this railroad's track gauge is standard, or 4' 8.5". Is this correct? I just measured a section near my house and I measured 4' 9.25". Do unused rails bow over time, or is the construction normally that sloppy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.252.194 ( talk) 21:20, 30 September 2014 (UTC) reply
