Merging "Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham" and "Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham"

The new hospital is being called Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and it will incorporate the newer parts of the existing Queen Elizabeth Hospital. I think therefore they should be covered by the same article. For the time being, before the new hospital is open this article should be Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham with a section about the new build. When the new hospital is open, the article should be moved to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham with a history section about the old hospital. I will do this merge shortly, if there are no objections. RupertMillard ( Talk) 09:02, 12 October 2009 (UTC) reply

I just went ahead and did it. RupertMillard ( Talk) 10:10, 12 October 2009 (UTC) reply

I've updated the whole page now since the opening of the new hospital. I'm finding it very difficult to find any information about the history of the old hospital, can anyone add to this? Also, general information about the new hospital which for the time being is only in bullet point format. WillDow (Talk) 10:57, 25 June 2010 (UTC) reply

Founded?

Is Founded the correct term for this, or indeed, many, hospitals? It is only a new building adjacent to the existing QE and run by the same trust (which does qualify for the term founded). Even if/when the old 1930's QE building closes this building will not suddenly become founded in 2010. Surely the correct term would be opened, as mirrors the complementary term closed on the infobox template.    Oosoom  Talk  10:30, 18 September 2013 (UTC) reply
