I have found multiple instances of "quadrapod" used to describe four legged robotics or other mechanical objects with four legs. (As opposed to " quadraped" used to describe animals that use four legs for locomotion.) Examples include:
However, I also found one robotics company naming their four legged robots as "quadraped:"
Meanwhile, I did not find "Quadrapod" trademarked, although I did find trademarks that included "quadrapod" as part of their name, per:
In summary, it appears that "Quadrapod" is not, possibly never was, trademarked - although derivatives appear to have been previously trademarked - then subsequently cancelled (
