This organisation is government funded and therefore not private, I'll edit that and if it's reverted this page would be obviously biased~. Dorkules ( talk) 22:21, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
"Sponsorship:

What does "a shirt sponsorship" mean? Please humor those of us who are not educated in financial dealings or the ways that foundations work. Thanks. Wordreader ( talk) 16:48, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you all for the feedback. For the first where the text was altered because of it being government-funded is not supported with a valid reference/article. The article referred to there is says that the Qatari Government funds citizens for free education, etc. but Qatar Foundation is a separate private, independent, non-profit and chartered organization founded in 1995 by decree of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar. Qatar Foundation — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Qatar Foundation ( talk • contribs) 13:16, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
There is an obvious difference between the assertions in the article I referred to and the article you are using from the Qatari government to say that QF is a private organization. My article is from the U.S. State department wherein the QF is described as "Government-supported" and various QF human rights organizations such as 'Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking,' 'Qatar Foundation for Protecting Women and Children' and 'Qatar Society for Rehabilitation and Special Needs' are all described as "quasigovernmental human rights organizations." Furthermore, the 'Qatar Orphan Foundation', which is named as part of QF by various sources through Dhreima, is clearly named as "Government-funded" by the U.S. State Department. Now, I would have no problem in saying that neither article is purely objective, seeing as they are both from governmental sources. But the article as it is right now does not reflect the clearly vague privacy situation of the QF. I will therefore change the article to include this. Any further discussion on this is welcome. Dorkules ( talk) 12:28, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Yes, QF is private and not government funded. The Qatar e-government portal clarifies that. Where is the criticism?????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.108.39.198 ( talk) 20:28, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
There is a disturbing assessment of how the QF's public relations firms have been managing the content on this article. How does this slip through the cracks at Wikipedia, but the OrangeMoody thing about articles that would have gotten a tiny fraction of this article's traffic... gets splashed all over the media. - 2001:558:1400:10:7D0D:A57:86AB:769F ( talk) 18:00, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
There are multiple lengthy sections of this article that read like lists, which seem more there to promote the Qatar Foundation than to underscore the significance of the contents of the lists. Indeed, there is little to no outside referencing to document these lists. I suggest that these lists get sourced quickly, or they should be removed. - Checking the checkers ( talk) 14:51, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
