I note a merge banner has been placed at Publow with Pensford and Publow. If it can be shown that the civil parish has been renamed from "Publow with Pensford" to "Publow" then I would not oppose but I find this surprising as Pensford is considerably larger than Publow.— Rod ^talk 15:47, 14 June 2018 (UTC) reply

It looks like maybe it was never formerly renamed, it is "Publow" currently and the citation for the 2011 census appears to say "Publow" but that link is dead. I will ask Skinsmoke ( talk · contribs) who added much of the content and knows a lot about this. I expect that the rename wasn't notified inline with the statutory requirements.
