Prudential Financial is based in Newark, New Jersey. It began as The Widows and Orphans Friendly Society in 1875, and for a short time it was called the Prudential Friendly Society. For many years after 1877 it was known as the Prudential Insurance Company of America, [1] a name still widely in use.

Prudential Financial didn't build most of the buiidings. Prudential Insurance did. A company's history and the name of the company when it built them is certainly relevant to the story of the headquarters. Why wouldn't be? Djflem ( talk) 21:56, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
