Merge with Federalism in the Philippines

Thanks for the efforts of the one who created this article but I think a new article is unecessary. I suggest moving the content to Federalism in the Philippines. The content should be included among the other efforts to establish federalism in the country such as the Joint Resolution No. 10. Hariboneagle927 ( talk) 06:24, 2 June 2016 (UTC) reply

Disagree The other article is more on the proposed Federal Republic of the Philippines and does not have much sensitivity and respect towards ethnolinguistic differences. in contrast to this article, this proposes a different approach. Proposed Federation of the Philippine Islands with sensitivity towards ethnolinguistic differences. However, would you like to share you idea how you want this to merge with the other article?

This is not yet done and we're still trying to improve the article further...Soy Un Orgulloso Latino Zamboangueño 08:20, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

As the title suggests Federalism in the Philippines is intended to cover everything about Federalism in the Philippines (debates, the idea in the Philippine context, proposals on how to implement the form of government). I also concerned with the use of self published source as per WP:SELF SOURCE, if you have any third party sources that would be preferred.
At the end of the day, I "Federal Republic of the Philippines" and "Federation of the Philippines" are still proposed methods of application of Federalism in the country and I believe both proposals should be included in the Federalism in the Philippines article at least whether this article is merged with it or not. I know this article is a work in progress but none of the sources points to this proposed "Federation of the Philippines" except the Facebook page. All others were either about the "Federal Republic of the Philippines", Duterte's support for Federalism in general, and an Advocacy blog. Personally I want the article to stand but these sources just can't do. Perhaps the work of the Facebook Federalism movement organization might attract interest third-party publishers especially during Duterte's presidency. But if there is no third-party reliable source then, alas! this may be a case of WP:TOOSOON Hariboneagle927 ( talk) 11:53, 2 June 2016 (UTC) reply
Agree, but needs reconstructing This is in the scope of federalism in the Philippines and should be a part of it. I agree to merge it, but, it needs reconstruction, because it doesn't even look like an article and there may be problems with sources.-- TagaSanPedroAko ( talk) 13:58, 2 June 2016 (UTC) reply
This is no problem if this article will be merged with " Federalism in the Philippines" since its all about creating new states out of the islands of the Philippines. This proposed new states are more like workable and effective since the Philippines is composed of different cultures, traditions, dialects/languages; unlike the states proposed by Joint Resolution No. 10. Punong Patnugot ( talk) 16:26, 3 July 2016 (UTC) reply
So, whose proposal is this? Yours? Including the names of those states? Why? I would actually support keeping this article ONLY if it they are sourced from political experts complete with WP:RS references. I was hoping to see proposals here that have been published like:
Abueva's 11 Federal States
Duterte's 14 Federal States or
Salvador Araneta's 5 Federal States
But if it is just you and your friends' wild imagination on encyclopedia space, then this surely has to go for violating WP:OR.-- RioHondo ( talk) 14:00, 3 July 2016 (UTC) reply
If this violates any rule, regulation, decree, law and whatsoever I simply recommend for its deletion. Thanks!-- Punong Patnugot ( talk) 8:58, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Article has been redirected to Federalism in the Philippines. Should you decide to create an article on those published proposals mentioned, you are free to do so provided they are well referenced and not your own original research.-- RioHondo ( talk) 06:19, 4 July 2016 (UTC) reply

Proposal by whom?

Sorry, whose proposal is this? I don't see any link to any sources aside from PSA population data. Whose idea of federal states are these and why are some states named in Filipino or local language? I think there have only been two proposals, one by Senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr. and another one whose name escapes me. I hope its one of those otherwise this is all WP:OR and should be deleted.-- RioHondo ( talk) 15:18, 2 July 2016 (UTC) reply

@ Acer Cyle, @ Punong Patnugot and @ Nin-5H, please respond to these concerns otherwise this article will be nominated for AfD for possible OR violation.-- RioHondo ( talk) 06:45, 3 July 2016 (UTC) reply

Proposal or Merged or Deletion

If merge, bring back what I've created.

The title is Proposed, therefore if it is a merge, all the three proposals shoudl be merged into one article yet the three proposals should still be there.

Now what is that you have deleted everything. This is unacceptable. You've also mentioned about Aguinaldo's federal states division? LoL . . Have you forgotten that there were more than States, Republics and Sultanates wanted to merged into one country but failed due to USA interference? One of the states would be there is the Zamboanga Republic, Negros Cantonal Republic, Sultanate of Sulu, Bicolandia, Ilocandia, et.al. There is no such thing as three states under Aguinaldo or APolinario, or maybe this is some sort of another Tagalog Supremacism again. Imperial Manila always wanted to dictate what's best for them.

  • Sorry? The article had no WP:RS and that is why it was removed and redirected to main article. We don't care how many states were proposed or what the name of those proposed states are, SO LONG AS they are backed up by reliable sources from actual political experts that have proposed them.
