They were never renamed to "academies" - only to "lyceums" or "colleges"! I've amended this.

Academies are mostly reserved for higher educational institutions, such as universities with narrower spectrum of faculties.-- Dojarca ( talk) 21:39, 16 March 2008 (UTC) reply
