Needs a lead section

Wikipedia is not a tutorial. To justify the existence of this article there needa to bve a lead section as per WP:LEAD giving a reason for the notability of the article. I think something like that should be possible but you do need to be careful of WP:NOTTEXTBOOK and get a proper reasoning at the top. Dmcq ( talk) 10:41, 16 December 2015 (UTC) reply

What are the eq. numbers referred to?

For example, in the first section it referes to equation (4) and (3), without any link. They do not seem to correspond with the equations in the main Price equation page. http://sites.google.com/site/omermar/ 03:26, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

An error in the first example?

In the first example (about sight), it writes: "he average sightedness of the parent population is z = 5/3.", but according to the first table it would be 100/60 (=10*1+20*2+30*3 / 10+20+30). omermar 02:10, 25 September 2016 (UTC) 03:26, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

100/60 = 5/3 PAR ( talk) 13:15, 24 September 2016 (UTC) reply
oops... you are right. omermar 02:10, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
I wish I could say I've never done the same :) PAR ( talk) 12:46, 25 September 2016 (UTC) reply

Additional examples

This page currently shows a few examples in somewhat detailed manner. I am thinking it will be nice to add a few moer examples but in a far less detailed manner. What do you think?.
One example is my own work: Markovitch; Witkowski; Virgo. "Chemical Heredity as Group Selection at the Molecular Level". arXiv. 1802.08024
