Disambiguation page
The page on preferential voting should be more than simply a list of synonyms on a simple disambiguation page. It is possible to make the page much more informative. Since the 2004 article by Farrell and McAllister, an increasing number of authors see all voting methods as preferential and systems are preferential to different degrees. — Preceding

Ranked voting and preferential voting are not the same. They are synonyms only in Australia and a couple of other countries, but they are not the same at all.
