Marvin Sutton → Popcorn Sutton – He seems much more widely recognized by his nickname, and now there's also a new namesake company and brand of whiskey. Note that there was previously an article at Popcorn Sutton, but it was a semi-duplicate and was redirected to Marvin Sutton four years ago. — BarrelProof ( talk) 19:07, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
An anonymous IP added a sentence to the article saying that " Jackyl wrote a tribute to Popcorn Sutton called 'Open for Business' on their Stayin Alive CD". According to the article about that CD, it was released in 1998. This makes me really doubt the truth of that sentence, because 1998 was before Sutton self-published his autobiography and home video or appeared in any films. Hardly anyone outside of rural North Carolina and Tennessee had probably ever heard of Sutton at that point in time, so I wonder whether that song really has anything to do with Sutton. — BarrelProof ( talk) 02:36, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
