Someone did a very good job adding a population table. There is now some duplication between that and the stats that follow below the table.
When I get a chance I'll prune off the duplicate stats in the text below the table. Some of it is not found in the table and should remain.
I'll add the citations / references for those as well. They all come from real government sources.
Please note: The populations of people of Black heritage (in 2020) is different by about 3% between the table and the text below.
Both are accurately sourced though.
One is for US Census stats on "Race / Ethnicity" and the other a report on (Just) "Ethnicity". This may be because people with two ethnic backgrounds sometimes only choose one of them as their identity. Or maybe it's just because the federal government often screws things up. In any case, these two "different" statistics both come from the US Census Bureau in 2022.

There is a lot more to the area's history that could be added. Maybe someone will have time for that at some point.

They should be copyright free.
If you take photos of things in Pomfret yourself, you can upload them to HERE (THIS IS A LINK TO THE UPLOAD PAGE) and then they can be used in this article.
BEFORE YOU DO THAT, READ BELOW--
While uploading you must give Wikimedia permission to use your photos copyright free. This means you give up the right to ever make money from those photos. And they won't belong to you any more.
If you add them there (it's called Wikimedia Commons) they will NOT automatically show here.
1) You must put "Pomfret, Maryland" in their labels, so editors here can find them in "search".
Plus include other details about them. IMPORTANT: Include what the photo is a picture of.
2) VERY IMPORTANT: Do not just say "Pomfret" because there are other "Pomfrets" and it will be hard to find your photos.
3) If you add captions, keep them simple.
4) Always include the date of the photo.
5) Do not upload copyrighted photos. Wikipedia computers can (usually) tell that you did that-- and they will be removed in about one or two weeks.
6) You CAN upload most photos belonging to the federal government (not the state or counties) including the US military. You can ALSO upload photos that belonged to (now) dead people that have been dead for more than 70 years.
7) There are other ways to get permission to use other peoples photos. Research Wikimedia Commons to find out how.
Again, label them all "Pomfret, Maryland" (or editors will never find them) PLUS include other distinguishing details about them.
Thanks! :-)
