Looking at the editing history of this article, it appears very likely that much of the content has been contributed by people directly involved with the business. From this edit, for instance, by User:Poldark Mine in 2007, right up to the last month's series of edits by 81.157.200.150 and 81.157.28.161.
While anyone is welcome to contribute to this encyclopedia, we do have rules intended to ensure that the content remains properly encyclopedic and does not stray into bias or advertising. I invite potential contributors to familiarise themselves with (1) our core content policies and (2) our policy on conflict of interest – which is helpfully summarized in the page: Best practices for editors with close associations – and to take these policies into account when further editing this (or any other) article.
I've edited the article to remove some of the worst bias and to start its transition to a more suitable format – our guide on writing better articles refers. — SMALL JIM 15:31, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your reply. I note your comment re "admission" but I was not aware that my ID was being kept private which was not my intention, save that I do not wish to appear to be seen as anything other than the present custodian and do not seek any self-praise for in the attempt to rescue this historic place from the scrapman and housing developers. Considerable outrage about the former owners is expressed to us on an almost daily basis without any prompting from us, to appear to praise such owners is not only misleading and improper but an affront to many of the museum's visitors and supporters. These people, a number of whom gave their time as volunteers or presented items to the museum, include the family of the late Peter Young who collected the core items many of which were sold off piecemeal or were merely allowed to rot, are largely all of the same view. Only yesterday many items from the museum here were sold at a Truro auction by the last owner - actual pictures of some of these items are in our guide book. The brazen claim is that these items were owned personally and yet were paid for by funds obtained by selling off the other contents of the museum! This appears to many of us to be nothing more than a kind of museum money laundering! We also appreciate that these facts are only a small part of the overall picture but at the same time ought to be reported truthfully as part of the story line which is what I have tried to do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.178.49.75 ( talk) 10:15, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
