Wikipedia is not a how-to page right? El Os o 05:01, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
This article needs to be rewritten with an emphasis on the process as art media, specifically as a type of printmaking. See printmaking discussion for more information. -- Renice 19:03, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- Personally i'm dubious this is printmaking at all - it seems to be just getting a photo of your cat onto a mug. But if Renice says it is... Johnbod 07:33, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Well you are kind of right, but in a way by putting your cat’s photo on a mug you are printing it on the mug, so technically it is printmaking. - El Os o 08:14, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
No that's just printing; printmaking is (non-photographic) art, & you have to set the bar somewhere Johnbod 19:43, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi, as the above section says this article seems to be a how-to instead of an encyclopedia article. I also think this should be renamed to 'Image Transfer (instant photography)' as 'Image transfer' is the name usually given to this technique. I am also looking at the article Polaroid art and I think these could be merged as this technique, in my opinion has similar notability to others and thus should be in the same article as others. -- GoodCrossing ( talk) 17:02, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
