This article might be able to use some material from my history of FOSS blogging, although the major thing it lacks is anything much from Jeff Waugh or Scott James Remnant (eg blog entries) that documents what they were doing at the time. Thayvian 20:33, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
There is no such thing as 'PlanetPlanet'. The product has *ALWAYS* been called 'Planet'. Why were these pages changed? It was utterly clear before. -- Jeff Waugh

Should this article be split into two? Planet planet is the software written in Python while Planet (software) implies the term planet in the context of software. There are various planet applications in different languages. Chmac 20:42, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
There's a WordPress plugin that does more or less the same as the Planet software. It turns a WP installation into a RSS aggregator.
