Somebody who knows more French than me ought to convert the history of the Place de la Bastille from the French Wikipedia. I particularly like the bit about the monument en forme d'éléphant. -- Paul A 08:40, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)

the orginal one was never made(the propper one... however the artical says that there was a scale model built. i would also like to know if the "rundown monument" from Les Miserable that Little Gavroche lived in (im working from the wiki "Plot guide" to les mis... so i might be wrong here) was the scale model, the scale model on the same location, the begginings of the real monument.... or just Victor Hugo's created one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sean2074 ( talk • contribs)
I tried to revert it back to the Feb 27 version before the recent anonymous changes. There may be some new information in the mess but the previous page was destroyed in the process. Both of my attempts failed. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Gavroche42 16:16, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
