'blanc'
soooooooooooooooooo...... who says 'blanc' is a grape skin color? Seems like there must be a way to convey this information more useful to the layperson. I mean, if you don't already know that this is white wine, are you really going to know what 'blanc' means in vinicultural terms? —Preceding

Blanc is French for white. It has many cognates in English such as the adjective blank (as in blank slate) or the verb blanch. The meaning is obvious.
