I have added the text of one of de Nolhac's poems because it is one of the rare ones whose subject is the Palace of Versailles itself and also because it shows his concern for it during wartime. I have made a translation so the sense can be understood but left the original so readers can see the language and form and check the meaning for themselves if they are able to.
