Since he is the most well-know spokesman for basic income it would perhaps be good with a description of his basic income theory. For example, why does he think that basic income is fair? Why he calls himself a real libertarian or left-libertarian. One thing that makes him stand out from many others in the field is that he argues that those who has a paid job recieves extra benefits which is over and above the netwage that they would have had, had the market been clean (a pure Walrasian economics). He calls this extra benefit, which people get, for a job rent or employment rent. It is fair to take the jobrent from those who work and distribute it to everyone, since the jobrent is an extra payment which is over and above the correct market wage. Except the jobrent he also views other sources as legitimate for a basic income, including sources natural resources (as in Alaska Permanent Fond). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mats33 ( talk • contribs) 18:08, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
