I wish to add to his genres: funk, soul and rock, as I believe he has contributed enough to those genres for them to be mentioned, particularly his work with the band NERD.
Additionally, he is well-known as an instrumentalist on the keyboards, piano and drums, again, in his session and production work as well as with NERD.

Musician
Hey, I think Pharrell Williams should be known as a "musician" because not only can he sing or rap, but he's also a producer who even has a tag known as the "four-count start". Other than that, on his most recent singles, such as "
Cash In Cash Out", "
Down in Atlanta", and "
Doctor (Work It Out)", Pharrell didn't provide any vocals on those songs, he just produced them. I know that there are also some songs that Pharrell was featured on but didn't produce them. There also might be other sources that call Pharrell a musician, like this one
here. Therefore, Pharrell should be known as a "musician, singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and fashion designer" or a "musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, rapper, and fashion designer".
