The result of the move request was: no consensus, leaning not moved. Reasonable arguments in opposition that have not been addressed. Jenks24 ( talk) 16:18, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
Pete the Cat →
Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes – "Pete the Cat" doesn't unambiguously refer to "Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes", which is what this article is about. Pete the Cat is a series with
many, many books.

Just now I expanded the lead section with a second paragraph that identifies Pete the Cat as the book series and its main character, as well as the original book that the lead sentence identifies. I suggest that somebody go further and make the first book I Love My White Shoes secondary to the main character and the series.
In the same revision I added one External link related to the same point -- Pete the Cat search results at WorldCat -- which may be useful to the proverbial "somebody".
Numerous little changes, mainly in the preceding revision, are unrelated to the preceding discussion of the scope of this page (above, #Requested move 20 August 2015). -- P64 ( talk) 22:28, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
I wish I was in the above discussion, I'm going to start tinkering with this, makes no sense to have "Pete the cat" point to a single book (or even series there of). If so, we should redirect and move this page appropriately. I agree there should be one on the series of books, and one on the character himself, assuming both can hold up reference-wise. The infobox is about the book, while the page is about the character? Huh? LeGoldenBoots ( talk) 02:38, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
