What about Lenape Road going south from West Chester, then called South Creek Road going through Pocopson and Chadds Ford to the Delaware Border. Google maps seem to think this is also 100.

The History section for PA 100 takes care of the old alignment you are referring to. I'm originally from Wilmington, Delaware, and have driven that section many times myself. Today (Sept. 28, 2011) I added a remark about a slight traffic pattern change northbound just south of US 1. I did observe the new alignment firsthand, and in reading the PA 100 article today, I learned that PA 100 was put onto that US 202 connector in response to complaints about traffic following the old alignment and ending up in downtown West Chester. — Preceding
