It would appear that "Pee-Wee" has been used with some variations:
Perhaps it would be best to note these variations. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 01:50, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
I did the first Pee-Wee Harris book for Gutenberg. I will go back to the original book I pulled it from and check the way it is done there. It may be the Pee-Wee was an artifact put in by my editor.
Everything written in Fitzhugh's hand shows Pee-wee, this includes the un-published manuscript- Pee-wee's Gold Brick. Only the last two PWH books use the uppercase spelling, also the other series in the Fitzhugh collection (Tom Slade, Roy Blakeley, et all) also usually have the lower case spelling. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.31.229.214 ( talk) 17:15, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
I used to read Boys Life in the early 1970's--one time they had a period of Pee Wee Harris..in which he modeled the various Scout hat gear--going from "Smokey the Bear"..to a beret..to the soft cap... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.5.89.217 ( talk) 17:36, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
