I tagged this page after coming across it while patrolling recent changes. It seems to include a lot of technical details that don't mean much to someone who isn't already somewhat familiar with financial systems, and the lead section dives headlong into that material instead of at least giving a more general introduction or summary. dalahäst ( let's talk!) 20:45, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
Dr. Chiu has reviewed this Wikipedia page, and provided us with the following comments to improve its quality:
"What makes a payment system a system is the use of cash-substitutes"
- not clear what this means - not clear here whether cash system is considered a payment system or not
" Real-time gross settlement systems (RTGS) are funds transfer systems where transfer of money or securities takes place from one bank to another on a "real-time" and on "gross" basis."
- it would be more complete to introduce the concept of deferred net settlement (DNS) and contrast the two
We hope Wikipedians on this talk page can take advantage of these comments and improve the quality of the article accordingly.
We believe Dr. Chiu has expertise on the topic of this article, since he has published relevant scholarly research:

DE: Zahlungsverfahren links incorrectly to EN:Payment system. EN:Payment Method would be correct. As the article EN:Payment system needs to be re-worked, maybe "Payment Method" could be introduced and then correctly linked to the German article. ---- Bernburgerin ( talk) 10:32, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
